Laguna Beach, California

What are your best memories from IPC?
We met at the IPC and married two years later in 1963. We both speak Danish and English, which we learned at the school. Best memories would be our first date there and all of the other students from so many different countries.

Who have you met up with since IPC?
We've met with Rod Olsen, another American from Oregon. We also met Torbjorg from the Faeroe Islands in Copenhagen once.

What was the greatest thing you learned at IPC?
Learned to speak Danish!

What message do you wish to give to everyone from your IPC term?
It's a great place to be and the atmosphere is terrific. The food wasn't that great, but you soon learned to appreciate it. I'm sure it's different now. I've driven by the school a couple of times while visiting DK but it seems different now. It's been many years. I'll never forget it though! I was young then, so I don't know how it would be for the older folks. I still remember the names of the teachers and the classes. I took my transcript and diploma back to my own University here in California, but they weren't much impressed. I got no credit for my time there, but I got many marvelous memories. I did eventually get credit for a foreign language, because I learned Danish fluently.

Anything else you wish to add?
I'm not sure how things are now, because I was there in 1960-61; however, in those days we had students from nearly 65 countries, all ages, and mostly females. It was really marvelous. I believe that there were three marriages from our winter class, two for sure! Anyone considering attending the school is welcome to contact us at glangdale1@cox.net
